My name is Joanna, but please call me Jo. I am a calm, patient, and professional celebrant, able to put people at ease and to help them make important decisions. I have plenty of ideas and imagination but I keep these in the background, to begin with, as I do not want to cloud your own wishes for your celebration, however, when I need them, they are there, waiting to be tapped into. I do not judge, and I treat every individual I meet with the same respect and professionalism.
The most important thing to me in my work life is that every service or celebration which I conduct, is played out to my clients' wishes and that they walk away afterwards feeling extremely proud and happy in every detail during their special day, or service.
Being an Independent Celebrant.
As an Independent Celebrant, I can carry out services to celebrate weddings, vow renewals, baby namings, even divorce celebrations. I also conduct funerals.
I am a calm and professional person, and I have excellent communication skills. I work tirelessly to put together scripts and services, to reflect the person or family I am representing, using as much information they give me as I possibly can, to make the service or celebration unique and personal.
I have imagination and am more than happy to discuss endless possibilities of how you would like your service to be conducted, but am also understanding of problems and pitfalls, and have ideas of how we may overcome any problems we face in creating your memory.

I absolutely love my job.
For many reasons I absolutely love my job. I love working with people, helping them to create a dream, a wish, a beautiful day, a last goodbye, a service to remember.
For many years I have interviewed and trained staff, mainly in retail and for a long time in The Conran Shop which was a wonderful place to work.
Through this, I learnt so much about helping people get the best from and understanding themselves, and this has been a huge benefit to the work I enjoy so much now - helping people to realise what they want from their special celebration and then being able to help make it happen.
